I am a researcher in education currently living and studying in the UK . My research project focuses on issues related to provision of education in India.

My home country is India. Since 1999, I worked as teacher, teacher educator and researcher-consultant in government as well as non-government sector in India.  This is one of the reasons why I chose to take up research in this area.

I have some interest in theatre also. I am not a trained artist but I have had the opportunity of performing as one of the lead artists in some popular plays in India. I will write about the experience later. As you would have noticed when you landed on this site that it has a certain kind of music playing. Hmm...this is my recent indulgence. In March-April 2008, I attempted to learn the Belly-dance. It was at that time when I started to look around for the music for rehearsing the Belly-dance steps. My teacher used to play some numbers by the famous Egyptian artist - Hakim in the dance class. Further surfing for the artist's music landed me to the radio channel from where I could find lots of music for the dance.
